Leo Triplet

The Leo Triplet consists of three galaxies 35 million light years away in the constellation Leo: M65 (top right), M66 (bottom right), and NGC 3628 (left). These three galaxies are gravitationally bound and are interacting with each other. I particularly like NGC 3628, also known as the Hamburger Galaxy. You can see a thin line of dust running down through the middle of it.

I collected about 5.8 hours worth of images over a few nights in March for this one.
