After galaxy season was ending, I see my sights on new types of targets. One of the first I looked towards was the M13 cluster in Hercules. While I’m glad I tried it, honestly globular clusters like this one probably aren’t my favorite. Give me the beauty of some clouds of gas or dust, or the inspiring scale and humbling size of a galaxy. A cluster of stars seems a little pale in comparison. Maybe that’s why I only ended up spending 1.3 hours on this target (at f/4), but I’m glad I gave it a try.
